About the Session
How can a creative problem solving process help your an academy develop and sustain powerful community linkages with the community? This interactive session explores how schools are using Design Thinking to effectively build and structure relationships that engage teachers, students and employers in meaningful workplace learning and result in work products that have value in real life. With an approach that’s both authentic and active, attendees will understand what Design Thinking is, learn from the Powered by Ford STEM Network implementation in Detroit, engage in a brief Design Thinking activity, and leave inspired and ready to take action in their own host communities.
